Brooklyn Bridge East Side Stanchion

Brooklyn Bridge east side stanchion (Brooklyn Side). Construction started in January 1870 and was completed 13 years later. Designed by John Augustus Roebling it was to be the longest bridge of its type at the time, stretching 5,989 feet over the East River in New York.
